Pakistani Minister meets Chinese Counterpart

Islamabad, 23 June 2022 (TDI): The Pakistan minister for Planning, Development, and special initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal met the Chinese Minister of Planning, Pang Chunksu to discuss subjects of mutual concern.

While meeting with H.E. Ms. Pang Chunxue, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal stated that there is renewed optimism and trust among the Chinese business community at large as a result of the present government’s evident efforts to revitalize CPEC projects by resolving prevalent concerns.

As a result of the CPEC project, Pakistan has received an international reputation. The rest of the globe wants to invest in Pakistan.

China Investment in CPEC

Pakistan received $29 billion from China and invested Rs2,300 billion in CPEC projects under the development program of the Federal Minister for Better Pakistan Planning.

He went on to say that the difficulties of 2013 were challenging in terms of energy and security, but that the Pakistan administration overcame them. The hope is that Pakistan will also emerge from its current difficulties.

Similarly, the Minister proposed that Pakistan and China collaborate on space technology and that Pakistani astronauts be allowed to travel to space with the Chinese.

This gesture would boost the friendship between the two countries to new heights, he stressed.

Her Highness Ms. Pang Chunxue, urged Hon. Minister Prof. Ahsan Iqbal expressed China’s trust in Pakistan’s present government’s capacity to navigate the country through severe socioeconomic circumstances.
