During talks with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Minister made his opening remarks which read:
Mr President,
Thank you for the opportunity to be received by you.
Russian President Vladimir Putin asked me to convey his warmest greetings and best wishes. He looks forward to future meetings with you.
It is a busy time for us right now: both in terms of domestic politics and the international agenda.
The President of Russia is holding several meetings every day concerning the adaptation of the economic, social, banking, and financial sphere to the realities that are now emerging as a result of the West’s aggressive and egotistical policy.
At the same time, all countries experiencing the negative influence of the egotistical policies of the United States and its satellites have an objective need to “reconfigure” their economic ties in such a way as not to depend on the whims and vagaries of our Western partners.
All these issues are on the daily agenda of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s work. The 25th St Petersburg International Economic Forum, which ended last week, was largely devoted to this.
