PESHAWAR: September 09 (TDI): A clash between Pakistani forces and the Afghan Taliban in the bordering areas near Kurram district has left two commanders among eight Afghan soldiers killed and several injured, local media reported Monday.
Afghan side reportedly attacked a Pakistani check post in the bordering area and the attack was retaliated, a quarter of media reported while quoting unidentified security sources.
The sources said that they have reports about heavy losses on the Afghan side and all this was just to retaliate the attacks. While an FC man martyred and three injured in the clashes.
Sporadic incidents of attack usually takes place in the Pak-Afghan border areas, earlier militants attacks on Pakistani check posts from Afghanistan’s side were also reported.
The tense situation resulted in suspension of trade activities in the bordering areas.

In May this year, the Foreign Office conveyed its concerns to Kabul after a large number of locals were displaced in Kharlachi and sought shelter in safer places in the wake of clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
This displacement in the area was not happened for first time. Earlier, tribal elders from Kurram and the Afghan side played a role in defusing the tensions in the bordering areas between the two country.
The other day, an FC official was martyred and three personnel sustained injuries in an attack carried out in the Marghan area of the central Kurram as well.

Local Police sources told media that on Sunday militants attacked an FC check post of the Tall Scouts and managed to escape after the ambush.
The dead body and injured personnel had been shifted to the hospital.
