Singapore (TDI): High Commissioner of Pakistan to Singapore Rabia Shafiq on Thursday met Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) President Lennon Tan and council members to discuss the potential investment opportunities.
The high commissioner apprised the SMF team about investment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly in important industries including textiles, automotive, IT, and pharmaceuticals.

The two sides discussed in details potential for long-term collaboration between Pakistan and Singapore’s manufacturing sectors.
The meeting stressed the importance of forging innovative partnerships to boost manufacturing growth and strengthen bilateral trade relations.
The SMF has a key role in supporting foreign investments in Singapore, it facilitatates partnerships between local and international enterprises.

The trade volume between Pakistan and Singapore is around $2.5 billion.
Since 2001 Pakistan significantly developed trade ties with Singapore, which has been the favored trading partner of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Exports to Singapore was US$83.42 Million during 2023, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade.
