Pakistani, Chinese, and Russian Envoys in Afghanistan

Chinese, Russian, and Pakistani special envoys to Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong, Zamir Kabulov and Mohammad Sadiq Khan, have visited Kabul.

Kabul, 23 September 2021 (TDI): The envoys of Pakistan, China, and Russia hold peace talks in Kabul with current Afghan government representatives Taliban, as the meeting was scheduled for two days, according to the office of the Russian Foreign Ministry. 

On the special invitation of Taliban, Pakistani representative Muhammad Sadiq, Putin’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kablov, and Chinese envoy to Kabul, Yue Xiaoyong attended that meeting to discuss regional challenges and issues which brings stability to the region. The envoys also met with the acting prime minister of Afghanistan, Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund, among other Taliban officials to talk on recent developments in Afghanistan.

According to an official statement, foreign envoys encouraged the Taliban government to make peaceful or friendly relations with neighboring countries which ensure peace and stability in the region. The development of inclusive government in Afghanistan, the significance of human rights, economic progress, reconstruction of Afghanistan were key points of that meeting.
