Singapore National Day Celebrations
The most significant event in the nation is the annual National Day Parade. Singaporeans either attend the parade’s processions or watch the national broadcast. The primary public celebration of National Day began in 1966 to commemorate the first anniversary of Singapore’s Proclamation.
The parade was typically hosted in The Padang or The Float in Marina Bay in the previous years. It was previously hosted at the former National Stadium. The Singapore Armed Forces practiced free-fall parachute displays and vehicle demonstrations in the months preceding the event.
In addition to song and dance performances, the parades typically include an aerial display with helicopters and jet planes. A stunning display of fireworks decorates the night sky as a conclusion. People spend the day on the island at picnics, carnivals, and concerts.
