Pakistan, Turkmenistan Vow Closer on Energy and Regional Connectivity

Islamabad (TDI): Federal Minister for Energy (Power Division) Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari held a meeting with Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, at the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral energy cooperation and enhancing regional connectivity.

The Federal Minister extended a warm welcome to the Ambassador and conveyed sincere greetings on the auspicious occasion of Ramadan.

He expressed his best wishes for peace, blessings, and prosperity for the peoples of both nations, underscoring the spirit of goodwill and mutual respect that characterizes relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.

Ambassador Movlamov highlighted the deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between the two countries, noting that these longstanding bonds provide a solid foundation for expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

He emphasized that shared heritage and mutual trust continue to guide bilateral engagement and open new pathways for collaboration, particularly in the energy domain.

The discussions placed special emphasis on strengthening regional connectivity between Pakistan and the Central Asian states.

Both sides underscored the strategic importance of developing robust energy infrastructure and advancing cross-border energy projects to foster economic integration and long-term sustainability.
