Islamabad, 23 December 2022 (TDI): The President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, received the credentials of Syria’s Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Pakistan, Ramez Alraee.

The credentials were received at the Presentation of Credentials Ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadar, Islamabad.

Highlights from Credential Ceremony

Accepting the letter of credential of the Syrian Ambassador, the President extended heartfelt best wishes to President Bashar al-Assad. He also hoped for security, peace, and stability in Syria.

According to Alvi, bilateral relations between Pakistan and Syria are founded on mutual respect. There are several opportunities to improve them in various disciplines.

He emphasized that the appointment of a Syrian accredited ambassador to Pakistan represents the apex of the two countries and peoples’ efforts to develop bilateral relations.

During his turn, Ambassador Ramez conveyed the greetings of President Al-Assad to President Alvi and the friendly Pakistani people. He wished the Islamic Republic of Pakistan more security, peace, development, and prosperity.
