Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have reiterated commitment to strengthening the bilateral economic partnership.
The commitment was expressed during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, on the sidelines of the 8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference in Riyadh today [Tuesday].
The two leaders also vowed to expand economic ties in different sectors, including trade, investment, and economy.
During the meeting, Sharif expressed his best wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and prayed for his health and well-being, according to Radio Pakistan.

He thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Saudi Arabia’s support for Pakistan in issues pertaining to international financial institutions. The prime minister also expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
Highlighting the significance of the Future Investment Initiative conference, Shehbaz Sharif commended the Crown Prince’s visionary leadership and stressed that Saudi Vision 2030 aligns with Pakistan’s policy objectives.
Referring the recent visit of a high-level Saudi delegation, led by the Saudi Minister of Investment, and the memorandums of understanding signed during that visit, The prime minister said it lay the groundwork for the economic partnership between the two nations.
Both the leaders also expressed concern over the ongoing Israeli aggression in the region, which has resulted in widespread destruction.

The meeting reflects the longstanding and strengthening religious and cultural ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, also underlining the deepening relationship between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
