Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday formally received the Letter of Credence from Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid, the newly appointed Ambassador-designate of Palestine to Pakistan, in a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
During the meeting, Dr. Zaid conveyed warm greetings from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and expressed Palestine’s gratitude for Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause.
He emphasized the historic bond shared by the two countries and reaffirmed Palestine’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties with Pakistan.
President Zardari, welcoming Dr. Zaid, reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for an independent Palestinian state with pre-1967 borders and Jerusalem as its capital.

He emphasized that Pakistan stands firmly with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and dignity, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to continue advocating for their rights on international platforms.
