Kuwait, 17 November 2021 (TDI): Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, who was on an official visit to Kuwait, called on Deputy Director of General Directorate for Coast Guard Brigadier General Saleh Al-Fojeri, Under Secretary National Guard Lieutenant General Hashem Abdul Razzaq Al-Rifai, H.E Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah and Commander Kuwait Naval Forces Brigadier General Hazza Al-Alati separately.
The Chief of the Naval Staff was received by the Deputy Director of the General Directorate for Coast Guard upon his arrival at Sabah Al-Ahmad Naval Base. He also presented him him with a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour.’

Regional maritime security and professional matters of mutual interest were reviewed at the meeting with Brigadier General Saleh Al-Fojeri, Deputy Director of the General Directorate for Coast Guard.
The Pakistan Navy’s efforts and different steps to ensure maritime security in the region were underlined by the naval command. The Pakistan Navy’s activities in support of collaborative maritime security in the region were praised by the Deputy Director of the General Directorate for Coast Guard, who recognised the importance of strong bilateral naval cooperation.
Professional areas of mutual interest, including bilateral defence collaboration, were discussed earlier in separate sessions with Under Secretary National Guard at National Guard Headquarters and Chief of General Staff of Kuwait Armed Forces at Army General Staff Headquarters.

While appreciating the importance of robust bilateral military cooperation in a number of areas, the dignitaries emphasised the importance of expanding collaborations into new military sectors. The Chief of the Naval Staff later met with Commander Kuwait Naval Forces Brigadier General Hazza Al-Alati during his visit to the Muhammad Al-Ahmad Naval Base. Both dignitaries talked about bilateral naval cooperation, such as Regional Maritime Security Patrols and membership in the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF).
The Commander of Kuwait Naval Forces lauded the significant efforts of Pakistan Navy in the realm of maritime security in the region. The Naval chief was also given operational briefing regarding the operational capabilities of Kuwaiti Naval Forces. The visit of the Naval chief will further boost and expand defence ties between the two countries in general and navies in particular.
