Pakistan explores business opportunities with Germany

Islamabad, 13 August 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan to Germany, Dr. Mohammad Faisal called on Secretary Board of Investment (BOI), Ms. Fareena Mazhar in Islamabad. Both officials discussed the new areas of investment between Pakistan and foreign businesses.

The Pakistani Ambassador, Dr. Mohammad Faisal stated that the German investors are highly interested in investing in hydrogen production projects. German businesses such as Siemens, headquartered in Munich, Germany, and IKEA are possible investors, especially in the tax exemption domain of Special Economic Zone.

The point of interest of German Investor companies in projects of Gwadar, Pasni Railway, and the Automobile Sector of Pakistan was also discussed. Both sides discussed the importance of coordination which can benefit Pakistan to a much higher level. Moreover, BOI and Pakistan Embassy Germany decided to hold a conference in Germany in the future to inform the German investors of the scope of investment in Pakistan.
