Minsk, 3 August 2022 (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Belarus, in collaboration with Minsk Golf Club, arranged a second session of free golf coaching classes.
Pakistan’s top PGA certified Coach Khalid Mahmood conducted the classes from 25-31 July at the Minsk Golf Club Academy.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan, tweeted that both beginners as well as amateur golfers benefitted from these master classes held over a period of seven days.

Moreover, the Ambassador appreciated Golf Coach Khalid Mahmood for his time, dedication, and devotion to projecting Pakistan.
Previously, in 2021, from 9-13 July, Coach Khalid Mahmood conducted the first session of golf classes. The session held over a period of five days, benefitted around 75 golfers both from Belarus and the Diplomatic corps.
Pak-Belarus Relations
Pakistan and Belarus established their diplomatic relations in February 1994. Belarus opened its embassy in Pakistan in July 2014. While Pakistan opened its embassy in Belarus in August 2015.
After establishing normal diplomatic relations, the two countries made their bilateral relations grow to exceptional levels. Moreover, the previous leaders from both countries paid visits to each other’s capitals.
The parties have signed 77 Agreements/MOUs in the field of commerce and trade. In 2015, the Pakistan-Belarus Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was created.
During the year 2019, the bilateral trade turnover between Pakistan and Belarus remained at USD 50.2 million, with a trade surplus of USD 20 million for Belarus.
Furthermore, both sides have an elaborate mechanism of Inter-Parliamentary and Inter-Regional Cooperation. It is also considered that Islamabad and Minsk are twin cities.
In July 2021, the 5th round of Pakistan-Belarus Bilateral Political Consultations held at Minsk. The two delegations agreed on the importance of high-level exchanges.
Moreover, they have held discussions on enhancing collaboration in agriculture, economics, industry, information technology, education, tourism, culture, and defense sectors.
