Beijing (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing on Monday held a solemn event to mark Kashmir Black Day, commemorating October 27, 1947, the day Indian forces forcibly occupied Jammu and Kashmir in violation of the region’s people’s aspirations and international law.
The event served as a poignant reminder of the decades-long suffering of the Kashmiri people under illegal Indian occupation and their continued struggle for the right to self-determination.
Messages from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar were read out during the gathering.
They reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support for the people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in accordance with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions. The messages also strongly condemned the ongoing human rights abuses committed by Indian forces in the occupied territory.
