Buenos Aires, 18 December 2021 (TDI): The Pakistan Embassy in Argentina organized a community Meet & Greet in its enclosure. This meeting occurred to promote awareness of the Roshan Digital Account (RDA).
The embassy received some Pakistani non-resident of Argentina and informed them about the RDA, another participant in the session was the Pakistan ambassador to Argentina Muhammad Khalid Ejaz. Ambassador Khalid Ejaz was the official who led the meeting.
Roshan Digital Account (RDA)
The Roshan Digital Accounts is a platform created to facilitate direct investment from Pakistan’s diaspora. Eight commercial banks are part of this platform. Nevertheless, it is the State bank of Pakistan that launch this initiative.
This digital Account is the first Pakistani platform to open exclusively through digital means. It allows the execution of all the traditional activities of banks online.
For instance, the platform allows many activities for its users: Firstly, it facilitates digital access to all conventional services of banks such as fund transfer and bill payments; secondly, the users can purchase the fixed income saving certificate (Naya Pakistan certificates), thirdly it will help to invest in shares and units in Pakistan stock market, fourthly it will facilitate the investment in units of mutual funds and, finally buying and selling Pakistani properties including commercial and real estates properties.
Pakistan in Argentina
Pakistan and Argentina established diplomatic relations in 1951. Since that time, they have had a cordial relationship. The two countries cooperate in high-level visits, bilateral consultations, forums, parliamentary exchanges, cooperation in education, science, technology, trade, and investment.
Indeed, Argentina and Pakistan in 2021 celebrate their 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Both nations have representatives in their respective countries. For instance, Argentina has its embassy in Islamabad and Pakistan in Buenos Aires.
The Pakistan embassy in Argentina has jurisdiction in other countries of South America such as Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru. Apart from interacting with the Argentinian side, the embassy of Pakistan in Argentina’s role is to serve the Pakistani diaspora of Argentina and the other countries of its jurisdiction in their needs.
