New York City, 25 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Belgium, Sophie Wilmes. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Foreign Minister of Pakistan said, Pakistan highly values bilateral relations with Belgium. Shah Mahmood stated that Pakistan is looking forward to further enhancing the relations in areas of trade, politics and investments with Belgium.
The two Foreign Ministers also marked the discussion on Afghanistan. Shah Mahmood said that international community should participate by engaging positive dialogues. The constructive steps for peace in Afghanistan can prevent humanitarian crises.
Shah further added, Pakistan has been consistently playing constructive and positive role in Afghanistan.
On her part, Belgian Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s role in sending humanitarian aid to Afghan people and efforts for making peace in country. Sophie Wilmes also invited Shah Mahmood Qureshi to visit Belgium.
