Pakistan desires peaceful political settlement in Afghanistan


Islamabad, 30 August 2021, (TDI): Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Quraishi stated that the peaceful political settlement in Afghanistan ensures regional stability.

Recently Shah Mehmood Quraishi visited neighboring countries to discuss the afghan matter with his counterparts. According to him, his visits proved to be effective. He added that the world has acknowledged the role of Pakistan in Afghanistan. Pakistan wants peace and sustainability in Afghanistan. Pakistan has also supported the Afghan peace process.

According to Quraishi, instead of closing borders with Kabul, Islamabad has just taken some precautionary steps to safeguard the security of both states. Pakistan has supported Afghanistan at a diplomatic level and will continue diplomatic support at the international level.
