Berlin, 23 March 2023 (TDI): A flag hoisting ceremony was held at Pakistan House, Berlin today to honor the National Day of Pakistan.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Germany, Dr. Mohammad Faisal hoisted the flag in the presence of friends and well-wishers of Pakistan as the national anthem was played.
Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were also read to the audience during the occasion.
During his remarks, the Ambassador noted that “As we hoist our Flag to mark Pakistan Day, we must reiterate our resolve to serve the motherland with all our sincerity.
He went on to enunciate that ” we must rise above the differences as we did it on this date in history to struggle for a separate homeland to lead our lives independently.”
The Ambassador further added, “success was not possible without struggle, sacrifices, & hard work, a lesson that we could learn from Germany’s history for overcoming many challenges & becoming a successful nation & a proud country in the comity of nations.”
Dr. Mohammad Faisal also noted that Pakistan had the potential to overcome the multiple challenges it is facing by following the Quaid-e-Azam’s golden principles of unity, faith, and discipline.
Moreover, he also appreciated the efforts of his team for their concerted hard work and reiterated that the Embassy would strive to serve Pakistan and keep the flag flying high.
A large number of community members, local Germans, and students, despite it being a working day, as well as, the first day of Ramadan, attended the simple yet graceful ceremony.
