Islamabad, 23 March 2022 (TDI): Pakistan Day was celebrated by Pakistan Navy with traditional zeal & zest. The celebrations commenced with Gun Salutes followed by prayers for the solidarity of Pakistan.

To commemorate the day flag hoisting ceremonies and illuminations were arranged onboard Pakistan Navy Ships as well as Establishments as per ceremonial norms.

Along these lines, the Pakistan Day Parade was held at Shakarparian parade ground Islamabad in which a contingent of the Pakistan Navy was a part of the Joint Services Parade.

The contingent of the Pakistan Navy included Lady Officers, Special Services Group (Navy), and the PN Band. aside from that, Pakistan Navy aircraft P3C Orion, Z-9 EC, and Sea King helicopters were part of the flypast during the parade.

Pakistan Navy Sea Eagle Team have Special Services Group (Navy) paratroopers participated in the Tri-Services Sky Diving. The team demonstrated varied free-fall jumping techniques, including complicated maneuvers as well as landing with accuracy.

The other activities included debate competitions, a boat rally of local fishermen, and a Pakistan Zindabad rally by students of Bahria Colleges and the local populace at Ormara and Gwadar.

The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi conferred awards for officers and men of the Pakistan Navy. The awards include three Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), seven Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), five Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), and one Tamgha-I-Basalat.

Aside from that, 40 Letters of commendations were also awarded by the Chief of the Naval Staff for exceptional performance by officers and men of the Pak Navy.

In addition, celebrations were also held at HQ NAVCENT in Bahrain. Pakistan-led Command Task Force -150 (CTF-150) marked Pakistan Day with customary enthusiasm. Officers & men along with senior naval representatives from member nations attended the ceremony.

Pakistan day is a symbolic reminiscence of the great efforts of Muslims of the sub-continent. The day is observed to recognize their perseverance and grit that altered the course of history.
