Pakistan Condemns Israel’s Move Against UN Chief

New York (TDI): Pakistan has condemned Israel’s move of barring UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from entering the country and declaring him persona non grata.

Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Munir Akram, while referring to Israel’s action said that it is “unjustified and slanderous” attack on UN Secretary-General, according to APP.

Referring to the atrocities in Gaza and the aggression against Lebanon, he expressed full solidarity with the UN Secretary-General and praised his principled and courageous stance on the situation in the Middle East.

“We strongly condemn Israel’s unjustified and slanderous attacks against the UN Secretary-General and the UN, which is a pillar of world order,” Munir Akram said.

He further said that insult and abuse is the weapon of aggressors and oppressors.

Israel’s aggression in Gaza and its new raids against Lebanon have caused thousands of casualties in both war zones and left tens of thousands people displaced.

It involved not only in war crimes like attacking hospitals and civilian populations, but its policy of aggression is widening the war in the region pushing the world into a dangerous zone.

UN has strongly condemned Israel’s war crimes and its policy of aggression for addressing disputes urging it to resolve issues through negotiations and diplomacy.
