Pakistan celebrates 30th anniversary of its diplomatic relations with Central Asian States

Islamabad, 27 August 2021 (TDI): 26 August 2021 marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Central Asian states. Diplomatic Insight Group and the Tabani Group of Companies jointly organized an event in Islamabad to celebrate the anniversary.

The Chief Guest of the Event was the Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan – Chairman of Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Malik Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Tiwana. Also, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgystan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Indonesia attended the ceremony. With that, senior employees of diplomatic missions of Belarus, Malaysia, and Romania were also part of the ceremony. Representatives from the business circle of Pakistan also participated in the ceremony. Chief Guest Ehsan Ullah Tiwana, in his speech, underscored that Pakistan values Central Asian states the most and wishes to enhance bilateral cooperation in multisector with these states. Central Asian states are important strategic partners and friendly neighbors in the regions. Pakistan hopes to ratchet up its political, cultural, and diplomatic ties with Central Asian countries.

Bouquets were presented to Ambassadors of Central Asian states by the organizers and a cake was also cut to celebrate 30 years of cordial diplomatic relations.
