New York (TDI): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker on Tuesday reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Prime Minister Shehbaz underscored Pakistan’s interest in expanding ties with Austria, highlighting trade, tourism, climate change, and education as areas with strong potential for collaboration.
He also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral trade relations.
Chancellor Stocker welcomed the discussions and expressed Austria’s readiness to work closely with Pakistan in order to explore new opportunities of partnership.

Both leaders agreed to exchange delegations to promote cooperation, particularly in the tourism sector, and to identify additional areas for mutually beneficial engagement.
