Pakistan and Russia strengthen ties at SCO-CFM

Goa, 4 May 2023 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, met with Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization-Council of Foreign Ministers (SCO-CFM) in India to discuss bilateral ties and the prospects for future cooperation between both countries.

During the meeting, they discussed various mutually beneficial issues, including regional and global security, economic cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges. Both foreign ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.

Foreign Minister Zardari emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s relations with Russia. He desired to strengthen collaboration in all areas, particularly energy, defense, and technology. Additionally, he stressed the necessity of enhancing the two nations’ excellent connectivity.
