Pakistan and Belarus reaffirms cooperation in Information Technology

Minsk, 15 October 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan along with Abdullah Amin and Shahmir Amir, the Deputy Head of mission visited High Tech-Park in Minsk. The Pakistani delegation was welcomed by Kirilll Zalessky, Deputy Head of High-Tech Park. Head of Global Cooperation, Lyubov Mayorova and TimurLuksha, Chief Specialist of Public Relation was also present.

Both sides highlighted the importance of Information technology (IT). Also, Ambassador briefed achievements of Pakistan in IT. Trained Human Resources, growing number of freelancers in Pakistan can serve as bone of strength and support to Belarusian IT industry. Both parties discussed opportunities for joint ventures among HTP Belarus and IT Park Lahore in Pakistan. Moreover, virtual high level contacts will be continued in future between HTP and IT Park Lahore.

However, Hi-Tech Park Belarus is considered as leading industry for developing business in Eastern Europe. It will help boost Pakistan opportunities to work with collaboration and strengthen bilateral relations. Joint ventures can lead to possibility of free movement of capital, transparent regulation, and lots of benefits for FDI. This opportunity will help to developments of top-level software, engineering solutions, banking system, mobile applications. Also, boosting investments can make HTP to invest $2.7 billion which is to increase by 30% this year.
