London, 25 August 2021 (TDI): The British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Christian Turner has stated in a Tweet that Pakistan is a “crucial partner on Afghanistan” in line with the G7 mandate on Afghanistan.

After the emergency meeting on Tuesday, G7 decided that the evacuation will take place within the prescribed deadline of August 31.

The UK alone has evacuated around 9,000 people since August 13 from Kabul, Afghanistan.

High Commissioner Christian Turner says that a clear message by the group leaders is to:

“- Stop violence
– An inclusive political process
– Allow humanitarian support
– Not allow Afghanistan to be used for terror
– Protect the most essential #HumanRights
– Co-operate with neighboring countries”
