Pakistan, Türkiye Share Bonds of Brotherhood, Says Turkish Parliament Speaker

Islamabad (TDI): The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş, arrived in Islamabad to participate in the Third Trilateral Speakers’ Meeting hosted by the National Assembly of Pakistan under the chairmanship of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, Kurtulmuş was warmly received by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who greeted him with a bouquet of flowers as a symbol of goodwill and friendship.

In a brief meeting following the reception, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq welcomed the distinguished Turkish guest, expressing Pakistan’s pleasure and honor at his participation in the trilateral gathering.

Highlighting the enduring ties between the two nations, he said, “The people of Pakistan and Türkiye share deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood, love, and friendship.” He added that Pakistanis consider Turks as their brethren, noting that both countries have stood shoulder to shoulder through every challenge and trial.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq also underscored the strong mutual support between Pakistan and Türkiye on global and regional platforms. “Our continued backing of each other’s positions is a clear reflection of the enduring friendship and mutual trust between our two brotherly countries,” he remarked.

Responding warmly, Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Parliament and people of Pakistan for their warm welcome and generous hospitality.

“The hearts of the people of Türkiye and Pakistan beat in unison,” he said, emphasizing that the people of Türkiye regard Pakistan as their second home. He voiced confidence that the bond of sincerity, affection, and friendship between the two nations would continue to grow stronger over time.

Kurtulmuş described his visit to Pakistan as both an honor and a delight, reaffirming the close and brotherly relations that unite the two countries.

The trilateral meeting is expected to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation and deepen the collaborative ties that have long defined Pakistan-Türkiye relations.

This visit underscores the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye; a relationship built on shared history, common values, and a collective vision for peace and prosperity in the region.
