Stockholm (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Sweden, Bilal Hayee, held an interactive session with members of the Pakistani community at the Embassy of Pakistan in Stockholm.
The engagement focused on consular matters and ongoing efforts to improve service delivery for the diaspora.
During the session, Ambassador Hayee informed community members about the resumption of long-awaited consular services at the Embassy. He highlighted that this step marks a significant development in addressing longstanding community needs and assured participants that the Embassy is actively working towards the restoration of visit visa services as well.

He expressed the Mission’s commitment to enhancing accessibility and responsiveness in consular operations.
Ambassador Hayee emphasized the importance of equipping diaspora members with relevant linguistic, professional, and social skills to ensure their successful integration into Swedish society.
He noted that language proficiency and adaptability are critical to building stronger ties within the host country and contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic fabric of Sweden.
He encouraged individuals, especially youth, to pursue educational and vocational development opportunities to strengthen their roles as ambassadors of Pakistan abroad.

The session also served as a platform for community members to share feedback and suggestions regarding consular services. Attendees expressed their appreciation for recent improvements in service delivery and welcomed the Embassy’s renewed engagement with the diaspora.
A key recommendation raised during the discussion was the establishment of NADRA counters at the Embassy to streamline the processing of identity and registration documents. Responding to the request, Ambassador Hayee assured participants that the Mission would raise the matter with the relevant authorities in Pakistan and work toward a viable solution.
The interaction concluded on a positive note, with both the Embassy and the community expressing a shared commitment to constructive dialogue and mutual cooperation.

Ambassador Hayee reiterated the Embassy’s open-door policy and welcomed continued community engagement to improve services and support the welfare of Pakistanis residing in Sweden.
