Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh called on Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb at Finance Division on Thursday.
The meeting focused on strengthening the Pakistan-US bilateral relationship, especially in the areas of trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the significance of the Pakistan-US partnership was emphasized, and the acknowledgment of the US as Pakistan’s largest trading partner and export destination was reiterated.
It was decided to further enhance economic diplomacy and explore new opportunities for joint business ventures and economic cooperation between the two nations.

Given the positive macroeconomic developments in Pakistan, including improvements in major economic indicators and increased macroeconomic stability, both the Minister and the envoy agreed to capitalize on these openings by actively promoting investment opportunities in Pakistan, with a focus on engaging the Pakistani diaspora.

The meeting also decided to ensure regular updates on macroeconomic data with stakeholders and the diaspora in the United States to encourage investment in Pakistan’s stabilizing economy.
