Islamabad, 5 March 2022 (TDI): At an operational base of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Marshal Zahid Mahmood, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Personnel), and Angela Aggeler, United States Chargé d’affaires in Pakistan, witnessed the conclusion phase of the bilateral exercise Falcon Talon between the Pakistan Air Force and the United States Air Force.

The exercise began on February 26th, 2022, with the deployment of US Air Force fighter jets to a staging area. Interoperability in complex air operations in realistic modern settings was the goal of the exercise.

Air Marshal Zahid commended the participants on the successful completion of the exercise while interacting with the combat crews of both air forces. He also praised the air and ground crews for conducting the exercise in a flawless and professional manner.

The deployment of US Air Force fighter jets at the operating facility started on February 26. During the bilateral exercise, Falcon Talon between PAF and USAF, Pakistan Air Force, and US Air Force aircraft’s operations in realistic contemporary scenarios were seen at an operational base of Pakistan Air Force on Saturday.

Further, he stated that both Air Forces had a long history of extremely friendly relations and expressed his hope that the exercise would allow both air forces to learn from each other’s experiences while also strengthening interoperability.

Later, Air Marshal Zahid Mahmood congratulated both the Air Force and Navy combat units on completing the exercise successfully. The journey of PAF-USAF bilateral air exercise Falcon Talon ended today on successful terms.  Pakistan has now obtained J-10Cs, one of which will be flown in the Pakistan Day Parade on March 23.
