Muscat, 22 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Oman, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a meeting with the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), Michele Coninsx. The meeting hence hosted on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly underway in New York.
The agenda of the video conference between the two was to evaluate the measures embraced by the UN to counter the threat of terrorism. Strategies and appropriate global practices were also the centers of discussion. In addition to that, the scope of future constructive cooperation also came under deliberation in the meeting.
The United Nations Assistant Secretary-General also praised the policies implemented by Oman to counter the threats of extremism and terrorism.
