TICAD aimed to enhance multi-lateral cooperation for sustainable and inclusive growth of human security in Africa.
The conference empowered the building of African capacity for sustainable peace, stability, and constitutional development.
This International conference represents a process of engagement between Japan and countries of Africa for international cooperation and security.
History of TICAD
TICAD started in 1993, one of the oldest forms of multi-lateral Co-partnership between different nations.
In 2019, According to TICAD 7, the Japanese private sector signed to invest $20 billion in Africa for infrastructure and human resources.
Moreover, in 2016, TICAD 6 committed to investing $ 30 billion in Africa’s health sector and infrastructural development.
During Covid-19, TICAD operations across Japan’s top investment destinations in Africa were affected badly.
However, During the Ukraine conflict, the Oil and Gas crisis in countries of Africa was controlled by Japan’s cooperation in hydrocarbon.
Hence, Japan-Africa people-to-people diplomacy empowered and strengthened with the development of leadership cooperation.
