9 August 2021 (TDI): Today marks the beginning of the 1443rd year of the Islamic Hijri calendar. On this occasion, many heads of states, members of governments, and international organizations, and other respectable dignitaries have wished a happy New Year on Twitter praying that it brings lots of blessings, peace, prosperity, and health for mankind.

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, “I sincerely congratulate the 1443 Hijri year of our nation and the Islamic world. I pray that the New Year will bring prosperity, peace, and well-being to all humanity.”

Similarly, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa has wished in such words, “I’d like to congratulate the Islamic world on the advent of the new year (1443H), may Allah make it a year of benevolence upon all. We reminisce on the grand event of the blessed prophetic migration and recall its profound impact on mankind.”
