Nepal receives special shipment from UNICEF

Kathmandu, 10 September 2021 (TDI): Nepal received ultra-low temperature freezers. UNICEF delivered the freezer through the COVAX storage.
COVAX is an initiative taken by World Health Organization (WHO), Gavi (the Vaccine Alliance), and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations to ensure uniform access to Covid-19 vaccines and technology.
Nepal Chief Vaccine Store in Teku received the shipment of 4 ultra-low temperature Freezers by UNICEF.
Many of the Covid-19 Vaccine requires low temperature for their storage. These Special freezers will have the capacity to store at least 1 lakh doses of Covis-19 Vaccines. The Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers will be best to store the vaccines requiring temperature under -80 ̊C
The Shipment to Nepal by UNICEF through the COVAX capacity is one of the many steps to ensure impartial access to COVID-19 vaccines and innovations
