Islamabad, 1 March 2022 (TDI): Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) organized an exhibition at its NAG Islamabad under the patronage of Commodore Sohail Ahmed.

The title of the exhibition was Maritime Treasures of Pakistan. It is a distinctive exhibit that is happening for the first time in Pakistan and was inaugurated by Vice Admiral Asif Khaliq.

The Ambassador of Indonesia, Adam M Tugio also attended the exhibition. The exhibition is a solo show by Dr. Javeria Nabahat Amin. Her work is an amalgamation of conventional art, literature, and technology.

Her art is a unique blend of visual art, augmented reality, and poetry. The art gives a multi-dimensional experience of art. Her aim is to inculcate maritime awareness amongst the public.

It is noteworthy that the statement art piece was inspired by Commodore Sohail Ahmed’s proposal of claiming the waters of Junagarh into Pakistan’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

Vice Admiral Asif Khaliq, the Chief Guest of the exhibition stated that it was an absolute pleasure to experience the unique exhibition about Maritime. He praised the thought process used to blend through poetry, visual art, and augmented reality.

Whereas the Indonesian Ambassador congratulated the artist, Dr. Javeria for making an outstanding art exhibition. Ambassador Adam M Tugio termed it as a unique and serious approach to making visiting the art gallery a pleasurable experience for both students and art lovers.

The exhibition is presently displayed at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts. It will continue till the 3rd of March.

About the Artist

Javeria is a Doctor as well as an Artist. She is a gold medalist from Army Medical College Pakistan. She earned a post-graduate qualification in Primary Care Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.

Dr. Javeria has an undying love for both science and art that is depicted in her artwork. She focuses on relating her artwork with literature.
