Oslo, 16 October 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of Maldives to Norway, Ahmed Latheef presented his Letter of Credentials to King of Norway, Harald V. He is elected as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Norway. He presented his credentials at a ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Oslo.

During the Credential Ceremony, Ambassador Latheef conveyed greetings from Maldivian President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the President and the people of Norway. Ambassador Latheef further expressed commitment to work closely with the Norway Government to enhance the bilateral relationship between Male and Oslo.
The two dignitaries also held discussions on further strengthening the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Concluding the meeting, Ahmed Latheef expressed gratitude that serving as the Non-Resident high commissioner would be a pleasure for him. He expressed assurance in strengthening existing ties between Maldives and Norway.
