Abu Dhabi, 4 September 2024 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Maldives, Moosa Zameer is on his official visit to the UAE. During the visit, he held high-level meetings with top UAE officials and engaged with the Maldives embassy in UAE.
High-Level Meetings with UAE Officials
Maldives FM Moosa Zameer held a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.
During the meeting, Zameer conveyed a letter from President Dr Muhamad Muizzu, to Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan addressed to the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed al Nahyan.
During the conversation, both ministers discussed prospects of better bilateral ties between UAE and Maldives.
Zameer conveyed gratitude and appreciation to UAE leadership for their valuable commitment to close cooperation with Maldives.
Both ministers reaffirmed the commitment to continue close cooperation on bilateral, regional, and international levels in the areas of mutual interest.
FM Zameer also held a meeting with the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Muhammad Saif-al-Suwaidi.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of his government to the ADFD for their generous support towards the development of the Maldives.
Engagement with the Maldives Embassy
FM Moosa Zameer also visited the Maldives embassy in UAE. There, he discussed increasing positive engagement with the UAE in bilateral and multilateral areas.

He also advised the team to act diligently and deliver quality service to all the Maldivians living or travelling in the UAE.
Moreover, he appreciated the hard work and dedication of Ambassador Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu), and his team for their hard work and commitment over the past nine months.
