Kuala Lumpur, 3 April 2023 (TDI): Malaysia being a Muslim country, strongly condemns the contemptible and repeated actions of burning the Holy Quran in Denmark on March 24, 2023, and again on March 31, 2023.

Quran is a sacred book to Muslims worldwide and the whole Muslim religion relies upon it as all the patterns of their living are guided by it.

This terrible crime is committed twice in March. Despite repeated rejection and strong condemnation from Muslims around the world, the Danish government’s reluctance to put a stop to this heinous act is completely unacceptable.

Malaysia has called upon Denmark’s government to stop these activities from offending Muslims worldwide.

It has called upon the International community to take standard measures against this Islamophobic act to insert a positive impact on perpetrators that religious warriors of Islam are still alive.

Malaysia among other Muslim communities is waiting for Denmark’s government to take immediate action against these perpetrators.

The International community is in dire need of assurance in their respective areas that religious scriptures are not disrespected in any case.

To promote harmony and peaceful coexistence between Muslims and other religions, following the tenets of Human Rights is the need of the hour.

These acts highlight the politicization of anti-Muslim hatred as they hurt the sentiments of billions of Muslims all around the world.

Media reports are saying that Islamophobic individuals or groups have attempted to burn the Quran on several occasions in northern Europe and the Nordic countries in recent months.

Since then, there has been widespread outrage, condemnation, and calls for an end to the authorization of demonstrations that are anti-Islamic.

Malaysia is hoping for Denmark to observe tolerance and respect towards Muslims and their sacred things.
