Libyan FM called her Tunisian counterpart

-

Tripoli, 21 August 2021 (TDI): Yesterday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Libya, Najla Al-Mangoush, made a telephonic call with her Tunisian counterpart, Othman Al-Jarandi, to inquire about the circumstances of the Tunisian side’s continued closure of the Dhiba-Wazen and Ras Ajdir border crossings.

In this regard, Othman Al-Jarandi explained that they are waiting for the notification of the scientific committee concerned with confronting the Coronavirus. The Continuation of closure is a precautionary health measure to protect the citizens of both countries and aimed at preventing the spread of the pandemic in two countries.

He further adds that they have no objection to reopening the crossing and assured Al-Mangoush that they will reopen both border crossings as soon as they receive the notification from the committee.
