Lebanon’s Economy Minister meets the World Bank Delegation

Beirut, 27 September 2021 (TDI): The Minister of Economy and Trade of Lebanon, Amin Salam, held a meeting with a delegation from the World Bank to discuss various issues of mutual interest.

The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of important reforms in Lebanon. Reforms are imperative to sustain the country, economically as well as financially. The empowerment of small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) also came under discussion. The delegation also discussed mutual cooperation along with the enactment of the World Bank’s agenda in the country.

In addition to that, aid for domestic industry and ways to enhance cooperation were also discussed during the meeting. The cooperation aims to help the country in tackling the financial as well as economic crisis.
