Lebanon receives Arab League to address Gulf crisis

Beirut, 9 November 2021 (TDI): The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Abdullah Bu Habib, the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, received Ambassador Hossam Zaki to address the Gulf crisis.

The meeting took place on the crisis with the Gulf countries, foremost of which is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the possibility of resolving it and starting to heal the existing rift. Ambassador confirms that there is hope to find ways out after the diplomatic crisis.

In turn, Minister Bou Habib thanked Ambassador Zaki for coming to Lebanon as a delegate from the Secretary-General of the Arab League. The Minister stated Lebanon’s will to take all measures that lead to overcoming this crisis and returning relations to their fraternal nature. As well, he pointed out that the role of the Arab League is sacred and appreciated.  It is the link between the Arab countries and Lebanon adheres to the League to carry out any endeavor between any two Arab countries.
