Beirut, 23 July 2022 (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Lebanon Salman Athar hosted a luncheon meeting with the Lebanese industrialists.
President of Lebanese Syndicate of Textile Industries, Sleiman Khattar, and renowned Industrialist, Naji Mouzannar joined.
The guests discussed the participation of the Lebanese delegation in the forthcoming Textile Expo in Karachi.

Textile Industry Exhibition 2022
Pakistan will be hosting the 4th International Textile Exhibition from 18th – 20th August 2022 at Expo Center Karachi. The exhibition is focusing on a range of textile materials.
A list has been provided in the exhibition poster that includes home textile, readymade garments, fabric and yarn, Art silk and synthetic textile, and leather. It also includes textile machinery, carpets, canvas, tents, sportswear, and much more.
Pakistan-Lebanese Industrial ties
Pakistan and Lebanon share brotherly relations. Along with being members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, both states share common views on peace and stability in the Middle East.
Earlier this month, Ambassador Salman had a meeting with the Lebanese Minister of Public work and transport to discuss ways to improve bilateral ties.
Prior to that on 14 June, Pakistan’s envoy met with the Prime Minister of Lebanon. Special focus was paid to trade and commerce relations between the two states.
He also met with the Deputy Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament and discussed bilateral parliamentary cooperation between the two states.
On 27 May, Ambassador also met with the Chairman of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture. During this meeting, both officials discussed decisive ways and means to enhance bilateral economic ties between the two states.
The Ambassador assured the Lebanese industrialists and businessmen of extending all possible cooperation to strengthen Pak-Lebanon business relations.
The government of Pakistan has been focusing on trade diplomacy to strengthen the development in the field of trade and investment. Moreover, it has also signed an agreement with Lebanon on trade and investment.
