Lebanese Foreign Minister meets the United Nations Special Coordinator

Beirut, 24 September 2021 (TDI): Lebanon’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib met with the United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka.

The discussion between the two revolved around the implementation of the United Nations Resolution 1701 and collaborative efforts to improve the country’s situation. The focus of the meeting was to elaborate on the UN work program i.e. ensuring be parliamentary elections and support from the UN. Joanna Wronecka also expressed that the work program will target the current year along with the next year.

In addition to other issues discussed during the engagement,  matters related to foreign policy and cooperation also came under deliberation. Both parties aim to further enhance the collaboration for mutual benefit.
