Moreover, it has a unique history, resources as well as friendly people. He went on to highlight the close ties between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have had centuries of cultural, religious, and economic ties long before their independence. The two have worked together to strengthen political, economic, and trade ties over diplomatic relations for 30 years.
According to the Ambassador, Pakistan is now a major player in global and regional trade due to its geostrategic importance, bordering the Middle East and South Asian states on one hand and the global economic power China on the other.
Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have successfully implemented the railway project connecting Central Asia with Pakistan. Aside from that Pakistan gets one thousand tons of coal from Kyrgyzstan. Likewise, in terms of collaboration in the education sector, 10000 Pakistani students are studying in Kyrgyzstan.
He emphasized that the SCO, CASA-1000, and QTTA are living examples of friendly relations between the two countries. He believes that his country can serve as a connectivity hub for Pakistani exports to Central Asian and European markets via road.
He also emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic has a high potential for tourism and investment because both countries have EU GSP+, and by leveraging free trade zones, both countries can boost their economic activity, particularly with exports to European markets.
He believes that a direct flight between Bishkek and Islamabad will boost trade opportunities and improve people-to-people contacts.
