Glasgow, 2 November 2021 (TDI): Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, met with Elizabeth Truss, the United Kingdom’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. It was on the margins of the COP 26 Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. During the meeting, they addressed the two nations’ strong and vibrant bilateral ties. As well as the foundations for their growth in numerous domains and the most recent regional and international events.
The 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties, or COP26, is finally taking place from October 31 to November 12, in Glasgow, Scotland, after a one-year delay. COP26, hosted by the United Kingdom in collaboration with Italy, will bring parties together to accelerate action toward the historic Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change targets. The high-stakes climate meeting is taking place in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.
