Moscow, 3 November 2023 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, will meet with his counterpart from Kuwait Sheikh Salem Abdullah AlJaber Al-Sabah in Moscow on Friday to discuss regional and bilateral issues.

According to the Foreign Ministry of Russia, both sides will address ways of initiating the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and bilateral cooperation in various domains.

Furthermore, Foreign Ministers of the two countries are expected to engage in contact to discuss regional and international agendas.

An additional synchronization of watches is necessary due to the latest round of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the potential for it to spread to other countries in the region. The head of Russia’s diplomatic mission in Kuwait will apprise his counterpart of the steps Russia has taken to normalize the situation, especially in the UN Security Council.

Moreover, as part of their interactions with the Gulf Cooperation Council, Moscow and Kuwait City hold regular consultations and opinion exchanges regarding the upkeep of security in the Persian Gulf region.

As far as bilateral relations are concerned, the Foreign Ministers will consider future contacts at various levels and prospects for cooperation in trade, economy, and investment.
