Amman, 17 November 2021 (TDI): Jordan’s King Abdullah II met with Prince Charles of Wales. Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and numerous high-ranking officials preceded them. The importance of the two countries’ historical friendship was emphasized. The significance of ongoing coordination and dialogue on a variety of subjects of mutual concern was also discussed.
Jordan’s King welcomed the visit of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. He expresses his joy at being able to welcome Prince Charles to the Kingdom on a regular basis. The outcome of the recent climate meeting in Glasgow made the King pleased. He praised the Prince of Wales’ leadership and efforts to raise awareness of the seriousness of the difficulties posed by climate change.
The Prince of Wales conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the King for the warm greeting. Prince Charles expressed his delight at the prospect of visiting Jordan. He emphasized the significance of this visit in commemorating Jordan and the United Kingdom’s centennial of distinguished relations and friendship.
