New York, 16 September 2021 (TDI): During his visit to the United States (US), King Abdullah II of Jordan met with the members of the Arab American organizations. This meeting took place in New York to strengthen the ties between Jordan and the US.
In consistence with Jordan’s foreign policy, the agenda of the meeting was to emphasize the necessity of uninterrupted engagement with the institutions and administration of the US. Furthermore, the King stressed the roles of the above-mentioned organizations. The meeting also covered regional and global challenges in the backdrop of Covid-19. In addition to that, the issue of the refugees of the region was also the center of discussion.
The King was accompanied by Queen Rania as well as the Crown Prince Al Hussein of Jordan for the visit. Moreover, Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Dina Kawar, Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States, and Mahmoud Hmoud, Jordan’s Permanent Representative to the UN were also in attendance.
