London (TDI): Prime Minister of United Kingdom Keir Starmer met with Singapore’s Prime Minister, Wong, during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting on Friday.
During the meeting between the UK’s Premier and Singaporean Counterpart, they started their conversation by asserting a genuine opportunity to boost commerce and drive growth within the summit and the Commonwealth institution.
During the meeting the leaders also added that there is significant opportunity that can boast trade and commerce within the auspicious of the organization.
The Prime Minister of United Kingdom Keir Starmer also acknowledge Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong, during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting that he will be visiting Singapore soon.
Keir Starmer also told Singapore’s Prime Minister that his visit’s to Singapore will be because of UK Carrier Strike Group’s programme next year.
The visit would strengthen the partnership between the two countries, according to Prime Minister Starmer, who noted that the two countries make major contributions to the security of the region.
The Prime Minister Starmer conveyed his appreciation to Prime Minister Wong for his support of the United Kingdom’s membership in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

Additionally, Prime Minister Starmer expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Wong for his backing of the United Kingdom’s membership in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Starmer also acknowledged the potential for both countries to accelerate their collaboration in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), technology, and sustainability.
In addition, the leaders discussed the value of providing service to persons who are hardworking, particularly by addressing issues such as the cost of living.
