Beijing, 27 August 2021 (TDI): On 26 August 2021, the spokesperson of China’s military called the recent joint military exercise between Beijing and Moscow a huge success. Tan Kefei added, the military drills that held from 9th to 13th of August have resulted in a new horizon for bilateral military cooperation between the two countries.
The spokesperson also assured the strategic cooperation between China and Russia in the future. In this regard, a joint counter-terrorism military exercise titled “Peace Mission 2021” under the aegis of SCO is going to be held in Orenburg, Russia, from September 11 to 25. Northern Theater Command of PLA consisting of 550 personnel and 150 vehicles will take part in the exercise.
The military exercise aims to cement the defense and security cooperation between the two states. This military cooperation looks forward to tackling new challenges and threats and safeguarding regional peace and security.
