Tehran/Beijing, 12 August 2021 (TDI): The foreign minister of Iran, Javad Zarif, has gifted his new book ‘Sealed Secret’ to the Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi.
Zarif also wrote a handwritten note in his book in Persian and English languages for his friend Wang Yi, which reads, “To my dear friend and colleague-Wang Yi- grateful for your friendship.”
The book is written on the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 (China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States), which resulted in the nuclear agreement- the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Tehran’s embassy in Beijing praised the role China has played in the talks, saying that Wang Yi “has always played a constructive role in the nuclear talks”.
The co-authors of this book are Ali Akbar Salehi (former foreign minister of Iran), Seyed Abbas Araghchi (Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran), and Majid Takht Ravanchi (Ambassador of Tehran to the United Nations). The book has six volumes and is compiled by Seyed Ali Mojani.
